TBT: Survey Says... [NaBloPoMo 27]

I deleted my Myspace years ago, but the memory of "all things Myspace" remain very much alive in my (and, let's face it, all of our) brain(s), from "Top 8" boxes to default songs. Thinking back to Myspace, the strangest thing was that massive message board/mailbox that let you shoot bulletins out to the world. I guess it was an early form of Facebook's news feed, but weird because it was formatted like an inbox and you had to click into posts to actually see them, which feels a little more personal than scrolling and occasionally pausing.

Those were the "early days" of oversharing, I suppose. Well--those and old email chain letters. Remember those in all their Comic Sans glory? The evolution of how we share things always fascinates me.

So in honor of Thursday and "throwback Thursday," I found an old Myspace survey online and decided to fill it out with answers from today:

Who were you on the phone with last? I Facetimed with my mom on Sunday, if that counts...

What were you doing at 7:00 in the morning? At work! Likely getting coffee.

Were you happier now or three (3) months ago? Comparing happiness from one time period to the next is not my cup of tea...I'm sure there were things that made me really happy three months ago and things that made me really sad/mad/whatever. Same with right now.

Last movie you watched? Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.

Who would you be shocked to see call you? That's a very vague question, so I'm giving it a vague answer.

If you could drink only 2 things for the rest of your life, what would it be? Water and peppermint tea.

Would you date someone taller than you? Yes. How hard is that to find though? I'm 5'2" (on a good day).

Would you kiss the last person you texted? Kisses for everyone!

Who did you last pinky promise with? Victor while having a secret meeting over sushi--because why wouldn't we?

What do you do when you're having a bad day? Listen to happy(ish) music, watch YouTube videos, binge watch something on Netflix.

Does it take a lot for someone to annoy you? It depends on what the person is doing or who the person is. If it's one person who does little annoying things every day, but I only see them for 20 minutes a day, I find that way more annoying than one big annoying thing that one person, who I see/talk to often, does. If that makes sense.

How many people do you completely trust? I'm possibly on the side of "too trusting." Trust completely? Good question...I genuinely don't know because it's weird to count people like that on my fingers.

What are your plans for the weekend? Literally nothing right now, and I'm totally pleased about that.

How many piercings do you have? Two.

Do you have any tattoos? No.

Do you want your tongue or belly button pierced? No.

Could you last in a relationship for over a year? Yes.

Do you hate it when people smoke around you? I don't like being in enclosed spaces with someone smoking (like when we're indoors). I have really bad asthma in general, though.

Do you smoke? No.

What color are your eyes? Brown.

Have you ever sung in front of a large audience? Yes.

If you could have one super power what would it be? I'd love to be able to transport myself. (On the topic of superpowers, you should read my post from two days ago!)

What do you usually order from starbucks? Medium (medium!!!) soy vanilla latte.

Favorite color? Red.

Do you still watch kiddy movies or tv shows? Not gonna lie: I don't turn the TV off when Girl Meets World comes on. Also, do Disney/Pixar films count? Because I feel like those movies aren't exclusive "kiddy movies."

Do you speak any other language? I can understand more Cantonese than I can speak it (well).

If you could describe your life in one word what would it be? Exhausting. At least lately.

What are you thinking about right now? Grocery shopping because I'm a big ol' procrastinator with only string cheese left in my fridge now.
