harry potter tag.

At the WB Studio Tour in Leavesden
Happy 20th anniversary, Harry Potter franchise. When I was first introduced to the series (my mom read the first book to me before bed while I used my albuterol nebulizer to help me breathe while sleeping), I loved the idea of stepping into a world of magic. The concept of an outsider becoming a hero is not new, but there was something special about this scrawny kid who had something different about him.

So cheers to you, JK Rowling, and the world you've created that made this quiet, Asian-American girl who needed a machine to help her sleep and a wig to make her look "normal."

RELATED: the wizarding world of Orlando, Florida.

And here's the the HP tag for a bit of fun!:

1) Favourite book?
Philosopher's Stone (classic intro to the world!) or Order of the Phoenix.

2) Least favourite book?
Chamber of Secrets.

3) Favourite movie?
Prisoner of Azkaban or the Deathly Hallows films because having a two-part movie helped preserve more of the book details.

4) Least favourite movie?
Goblet of Fire. It was missing so much.

5) Favourite quote?
"Always."

6) Favourite Weasley?
Fred and George, of course.

7) Favourite female character?
Molly Weasley.

8) Favourite villain.
Bellatrix Lestrange.

9) Favourite male character?
Ron. (Though if I could choose from the whole HP universe, I'd say Newt Scamander because Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is lovely.)

To Hogwarts!
10) Favourite professor?
McGonagall.

11) Would you rather A) wash Snape’s hair or B) spend a day listening to Lockhart rant about himself?
B sounds entertaining.

12) Would you rather duel A) an elated Bellatrix or B) and angry Molly?
A. Have you seen what happens when Molly gets angry?

13) Would you rather travel to Hogwarts via A) Hogwarts Express or B) Flying Car?
Hogwarts Express. No question.

14) Would you rather A) Kiss Voldemort or B) give Umbridge a bubble bath?
I'm going to say... A, if I had to choose, but both are wholly unappealing.

15) Would you rather A) ride a Hippogriff or B) ride a Firebolt?
A Hippogriff, because I'd probably fall off a broom.

16) Is there a character you felt differently about in the movies?
Ginny and Tonks. Both were so well-developed in the books, and fell sort of flat in the films.

17) Is there a movie you preferred to the book?
No.

18) Richard Harris or Michael Gambon as Dumbledore?
Hard to judge because we never got to see more of what Richard Harris could've done with Dumbledore as the story progressed. But I did really like him.

19) Your top thing (person or event) that wasn’t in the movie that you wanted there the most?
Peeves.

20) If you could remake any of the Harry Potter movies which would it be?
Goblet of Fire.

21 Which house was your first gut feeling you’d be a part of?
Gryffindor, but I've since declared my allegiance to Hufflepuff.

The Hufflepuff section of the Great Hall in Leavesden

22) Which house were you actually sorted into on Pottermore?
Hufflepuff.

23) Which class would be your favourite?
Charms, I think.

24) Which spell do you think would be most useful to learn?
Accio. A couch potato's gamechanger.

25) Which character do you think you’d instantly become friends with?
Hermione.

26) If you could own one of the three Hallows, which would it be?
Invisibility Cloak.

27) Is there any aspect of the books you’d want to change?
There were some character deaths that felt unnecessary. Like...Hedwig? Really?? C'mon.

28) Favourite Marauder?
Moony. The sensible one who still enjoyed some fun.

29) If you could bring one character back to life, which would it be?
Fred.

30) Hallows or Horcruxes?
Hallows, of course.
